Pre-Event AIVOLUTION

On April 11th, more than 80 managers, leaders, and partners gathered at the pre-event of the _AIVØLUT1ØN_, for a sneak peek of the largest conference on Artificial Intelligence to take place in Portugal in 2024.

The central services of Knower™, in Carnaxide, were the venue for this pre-event, where two talks related to the theme of Artificial Intelligence were held.

Before the talks, there was time to unveil the creative and ideation process behind the concept and graphic identity of the _AIVØLUT1ØN_, the first conference in Portugal co-created between human and artificial talent. It was up to Diana Carvalhido, Creative Director of Ivity Brand Corp to present this, as the leader of the brand creation process.

In the first debate, the question was raised about what we will witness in the coming times regarding the evolution of Artificial Intelligence, where Rogério Carapuça, President of APDC mentioned that the processing capacity of machines will continue to surprise us, so we are facing the greatest technological advance in the field of productivity in human history, from which new business models may emerge due to the disruptive effect, giving as an example audiobook contents that can be reproduced by artificial voice instead of traditional logistical costs, among other examples, from the simplest to the most complex, without failing to point out the high energy consumption associated with the implementation and training of Artificial Intelligence models as the “currency of exchange” that will determine the next challenges.

On the same panel, Diana Carvalhido, Creative Director of Ivity Brand Corp, considers that these advances, specifically in creative work, will allow scaling the production of content, especially satisfying its diversity, and with a degree of quality that is being improved by algorithms, expanding the range of coverage and response capacity to different requirements.

The second debate panel was dedicated to the impact of AI on the media industry, which faces major challenges to its traditional business models, where Joana Cabral, Digital Lead of TVI Media Capital and Isabel Rodrigues, CDMO of Medialivre reinforced a joint line of thought on the opportunity that AI will provide in enhancing the role of the journalist on the ethical plane, namely to combat the perverse side of disinformation and false content more effectively, while also enhancing the planning and creative production of content in a much more optimized way compared to its volume of creation and sharing, paving the way for exploring new media models directed with greater rigor and quality.
